Nate is on the Air!

I would like to thank Good Shepard Catholic Radio for featuring Finding Hope on Vegas during their fundraiser event. Sports enthusiast and host, Frank Pomarico, and Nathan discussed various aspects of bull riding as a sport, the accident, and Nate’s incredible recovery.

Frank hosts a weekly sports show, Sports Round Table.  You can check it out on Sunday afternoons from 2:00-3:00pm on 93.3 FM or 1015 AM.

Story of Hope

Not long after I started this website, I wrote a post about a dear friend, Erika Hirschman, who has battled three different cancers.   She recently published an article in the bold. E-magazine about how faith and family helped her overcome devastation and find Hope. I encourage you to read her remarkable story.

Thanks BCLS!

I had a lovely afternoon on Friday, May 18, 2018.  BCLS invited Finding Hope on Vegas to their Booked For Lunch event.

There was a nice turnout and some great discussion about God and miracles after the presentation.  Because many people lingered to talk, the cleaning crew patiently waited for me to finish the book signing.  They simply smiled and said ‘No hurries.’ What a great crew!

As a bonus, some family and friends I do not get to see very often came.

Thanks to the Booked for Lunch Staff at Alice and Jack Wirt Public Library for a wonderful day!

Third Time is a Charm

Due to the crazy weather in March, the Finding Hope on Vegas presentation will be held this Thursday at the Birch Run Library. I am praying the weather cooperates since this is the third attempt. Hope to see ya there!

FINDING HOPE ON VEGAS POSTER 4

I couldn’t put the book down. I love how this mom tells her story of the accident and all the miracles & medicine that followed that kept her son alive. You will never doubt the power of prayer after reading this book. Have a tissue ready when you read it because you actually feeling like you are right there with her every step of the way.

Alma College

A big shout out to Judy McKenna, Director of Nursing Education, for inviting me to come and speak with the Nursing students at Alma College.  Finding Hope on Vegas was a required read last fall for many students in the Alma Nursing program.  I can not wait to hear the students’ perspectives on the book and answer their questions.  Wish me luck!

Nate’s bull riding accident is the fall 2017 cover story for the Saginaw Faith magazine. Author Erika Hirschman does a great job summarizing the events documented in  Finding Hope on Vegas. Thanks to Sarah Moore Kuschell for the fantastic pictures in the hops field.
